Bengaluru: Private bus and truck services that were banned inside the city between 7 am and 10 pm for the Invest Karnataka summit resumed on Friday after four days. With this, the movement of passengers and supply of vegetables and other commodities returned to normal.

State Transport Department officials said that the ban on the entry of private vehicles ended on Thursday night. “The services resumed today (Friday),” said a senior officer.

With it, traffic jams were back to haunt the city. Gridlocks were seen on all major roads and at bus terminuses, including Majestic, Shanthinagar, K.R. Puram and K.R. Market.

“As some trains were cancelled, private operators operated more buses between the city and parts of Tamil Nadu. Occupancy was good,” said Mr Prasad, a travel agent.
