Telangana starts preparation for 15th finance panel visit
Government financial advisor G.R. Reddy explained the financial commission's guidelines and asked to include state-specific needs in the report.
Hyderabad: K. Rama Krishna Rao, principal secretary of finance on Tuesday asked officials to prepare memorandums to be presented to the 15th Finance Commission which will visit the state for three days from February 20.
The secretary said officials have to take into consideration requirement of funds for various welfare schemes like Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima, KCR Kits, KG to PG, and irrigation projects like Mission Bhagiratha while preparing the memorandums.
He said that officials of the Commission headed by N.K. Singh will visit the state from February 18 to February 20. The team will hold discussions with the Chief Minister along with officers of various departments on February 19. After meeting financial experts on February 20, they would conduct a field visit.
