Hyderabad: Markets along NHs must shift

The Cyberabad traffic police is now clearing weekend markets on NHs.

Although the BBMP has promised to earmark hawking zones in the city on the lines of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia for the convenience of both vendors and Bengalureans, it has done little about it so far.

Hyderabad: After concentrating on encroachments on footpaths, the police is now focussing on the weekend markets on NHs. The Cyberabad traffic police is now clearing weekend markets on NHs.

 The Cyberabad police has told vegetable vendors that no markets will be allowed on NHs.

On Sunday, Cyberabad traffic police shifted the Sunday market on the NH at Ashoknagar BHEL to Ram Chandra Puram Rythu Bazaar.

The government sanctioned Rs 2 crore for the development of Ram Chandra Puram Rythu Bazaar and work has started.

Police has told vegetable vendors to shift to Ram Chandra Puram Rythu Bazaar and other bazaars. Parked vehicles or vendors found on NHs will be fined up to Rs 1,000.
