Kerala: Body of missing student found on railway track
The body of Jassim was laid to rest at Keezhoor Juma Masjid in the presence of a large crowd on Monday afternoon.
Kasargod: The body of a school student who was missing since Thursday was found on the railway track on Monday morning. The body of Muhammed Jassim, 15, son of Jafer of Mangad, was found on the railway track near the Kalanad overbridge. Jassim, SSLC student of government higher secondary school, Chattanchal, had gone to buy new dress for the school farewell day on Thursday evening. As he failed to return by night, his relatives and friends had been searching for him along with the police.
According to Bekal circle inspector V.K. Viswambaran, the body was in a decomposed state. The police surgeon who conducted the post-mortem would visit the spot to gather evidence, according to the police. Four friends of Jassim are under interrogation in connection with the incident, the police said.
