Thakur acts after getting 3rd notice from GHMC

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation on Tuesday served a third notice on Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Ram Prawesh Thakur for erecting unauthorised structure and for deviating from the sanctioned building plan.

Two floors of the house at plot no 149 situated in Prashasan Nagar, Jubilee Hills, are illegal.

According to a GHMC officer, the corporation had served Mr Thakur notices for the illegal structure and told him to demolish the illegal structure which trespassed into a public area.

That part was partially demolished by the GHMC on Tuesday.

Pertaining to construction of illegal floors, the officer said that the corporation served two notices to Mr Thakur in 2017 and served a final notice on Tuesday under section 636(1) of the GHMC Act.

According to the GHMC Act, the property owner has to demolish the illegal structure within 24 hours of receiving the notice.
