Hyderabad: Apart from day temperatures rising, temperatures in the night too are gradually increasing in the city.

On the night of April 5, the temperature was 27ºC, three degrees above normal. In the coming days, the maximum temperature will be around 42ºC and minimum will be 27ºC. The weather forecast for nights, from April 6 to 11, is 26ºC (two degrees above normal).

Mr N. Narasimha Rao, assistant meteorologist, IMD, Hyderabad, said, “The rise in night temperature is directly proportionate to rise in day temperatures. At 40ºC plus, the ground is receiving more heat and will take more time to cool. Throughout the night the temperature is around 30ºC but it drops down to 27ºC just before sunrise, and that is recorded as the minimum temperature.”
If the days are cloudy, the nights are warmer while clear days see cooler nights.
