India\'s image improved due to PM Modi: Sushma Swaraj
Swaraj said 126 Indians and 40 foreign citizens were killed in a major terror attack in Mumbai in 2008.
Hyderabad: External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj said India had successfully isolated Pakistan before the international community under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
She was addressing a meeting of intellectuals and professionals on Friday in the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency organised in support of BJP candidate N. Ramchander Rao.
Ms Swaraj said 126 Indians and 40 foreign citizens were killed in a major terror attack in Mumbai in 2008. The then Congress-led government lost the chance to develop consensus of the international community against Pakistan. But, after the Pulwama attack, Mr Modi gave the liberty to the Armed forces to strike against Pakistan even as he worked to bring diplomatic pressure on Islamabad.
After 50 years, Organisation of Islamic Cooperation had invited India to attend its plenary and she had represented the country, Ms Swaraj said. Pakistan again protested against India’s participation but was ignored.
