Hyderabad: K Chandrasekhar Rao to lay Brahmin sadan stone

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will lay the foundation of Brahmin Sadan, a multipurpose building coming up on a 10-acre site at Gopanapally, on June 5. The building would serve as a centre for the development of the Brahmin community.
Brahmin Samkshema Parishad chairman K.V. Ramana Chary said the Parishad’s portal will be launched on May 9. Mr Ramana Chary said the Parishad will provide scholarships to poor Brahmin students to pursue higher education in India and abroad. The CM has allotted RS 100 crore in Budget 2017-18 for Brahmins.
“Students who secured hig marks in SSC, Inter, Degree, PG and professional courses will be eligible to get scholarships. We will invite applications soon and select beneficiaries,” Mr Chary added.
He said overseas education scheme will be launched to provide financial assistance to students to pursue higher education abroad. Besides, the Kalyana Laxmi scheme will also be extended to poor Brahmin families to marry off their daughters. An amount of Rs 10 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of Brahmin Sadan.
