Centre, State should work in tandem: P Ashok Gajapati Raju
Union minister praised the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing able leadership in the country.
Bhimavaram: Union minister for civil aviation P. Ashok Gajapati Raju felt the need on the part of both the Centre and state to work together to realise mutual development. Taking part in Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas Sammelan programme held here on Monday, the Union minister praised the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing able leadership in the country.
He laid stress on eliminating black money from the country and appreciated the Modi for taking a bold step by initiating demonetisation of high value currency notes. Referring to the criticism by the opposition YSR Congress on several issues in the state, the Union minister opined that those who were supposed to be in jail in an oblique reference to the YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy as he was involved in disproportionate assets case, were moving out on bail.
The Union minister also attributed credit to BJP-led National Democratic Alliance regime for Prime Minister Jan Dhan Yojana as nearly 29 crore new bank accounts were opened enabling the poor persons to open their bank accounts and get direct benefit from several welfare schemes initiated by the Centre. He flayed the previous Congress regime by saying that only a few rich people used to have bank accounts at that time.
The Union minister also showered praises on Modi for signing Paris accord recently to protect global environment. BJP MP Gokaraju Ganga-raju, state ministers and public representatives and officials were present.
