Madras High Court to hear plea to stay movie on Swathi murder
Swathi's father Santhana Gopalakrishan had already filed a complaint to the DGP on May 31 against the producer and director of the movie.
Chennai: Family of the slain Infosys techie S. Swathi murdered in June last year by her alleged stalker moved a petition last Friday before the Madras high court asking for a stay on the movie based on the murder.
The Madras high court will hear the petition on Wednesday, according to the counsel.
Swathi’s father Santhana Gopalakrishan had already filed a complaint to the DGP on May 31 against the producer and director of the movie.
“The case is still pending judgment. How can they make a movie before the court has delivered the judgment?” asked Pammal Srinivasan, social activist.
Srinivasan said that Swathi’s father is under great stress and this has come at a time when he is coping with the loss of his daughter and hoped that the court would bring a stay to the film.
