Hyderabad High Court notice to minister for energy over acquiring land

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday directed Mr. Jagdeeswar Reddy, minister for energy, and promoters of Sri Sai Developers, a real estate firm to file an affidavit questioning the action of the government in constructing the Collectorate Complex for Suryapet district in acquiring the private lands between Kudakuda and Bebigudem villages near Suryapet town.

A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice K Vijaya Lakshmi was dealing with a PIL by Chakilam Rajeswara Rao seeking to declare the action of the government in constructing the Collectorate in acquiring the private land despite plenty of government land available in Suryapet town as illegal.
