Rectify mistakes in land records, says M Kodandaram Reddy

Revenue authorities, in a bid to expedite work on the first phase of Chennai-Bangalore Industrial Corridor (CBIC), decided to form a committee to decide rates and negotiate with owners of patta lands to acquire land.

WARANGAL: Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) president M. Kodandaram Reddy has demanded immediate action by the state government against the alleged irregularities in the land records updation programme (LRUP). A dharna and a rally was held at Kazipet tahsildhar office on Thursday by several TJS activists.

They submitted a memorandum of demands to the tahsildar.  Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Kodandaram said during a recent survey by the TJS on LRUP and Rythu Bandhu Scheme (RBS) large-scale irregularities were found and farmers are going through several troubles because of the irregularities.  Speaking about the RBS, he said the state must set a ceiling on the landholders who are eligible for the scheme.
