Hyderabad High Court works without advocates

Hyderabad: A majority of advocates abstained from work following the boycott call given by the High Court Bar Associations of AP and Telangana state but it did not impact work on on Friday. Though there were fewer advocates in the court halls, the judges held their regular proceedings without hindrance.

The AP High Court Bar Association had given the boycott call to express solidarity with the boycott call given by district bar associations in AP demanding special category status. TS advocates stayed away to protest HC issuing contempt proceedings against 13 advocates for their alleged high-handed behaviour during the recent agitation of the advocates.
