Fir against trio for passing fake orders in name of Madras HC
The judge said Apart from criminal prosecution, criminal contempt to be initiated against the accused under the contempt of Courts Act.
Chennai: The police have informed the Madras High court that a FIR has been registered against three persons who have passed fake orders of the High court.
When a petition filed by JKK Rangammal Charitable Trust, Kumarapalayam, Namakkal came up for hearing on September 3, Justice P. N Prakash, directed the Superintendent of Police to register FIR on the complaint by the petitioner and produce before the Court within two days.
When the matter taken for hearing, the authorities have informed that as per direction of the court, a FIR has been registered against the trio. In the petition, the Trust sought for a direction to take action on his complaint dated May 15,2018 relating to the act of forgery and bogus orders created in the name of High Court. The Trust alleged that Muruganandam, Sundaram and Angamuthu created forged orders to cheat their house owner.
After recording that the FIR was registered, the judge said “Apart from criminal prosecution, criminal contempt to be initiated against the accused under the contempt of Courts Act.”
The Judge then directed to place the papers with regard to the case before the Chief Justice enabling to constitute a Division Bench to hear the criminal contempt that has to be initiated in the above matter against the accused.
