Six more Madras High Court judges

The 10 names were sent in two batches of six and four and the collegium has cleared the first list of six names.

The Union government has informed the Madras high court that in view of the interpretation Life sentence means entire life of a person by the Supreme Court, the two accused cannot seek relief of early release.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court collegium of Judges headed by the Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra has cleared six of the 10 district judges recommended for elevation as Judges of the Madras High Court.

The 10 names were sent in two batches of six and four and the collegium has cleared the first list of six names. The 10 subordinate judges are S. Ramathilagam, S. Tharani, P. Rajamanickam, N.V. Vasudevan, B. Sarojinidevi, T. Krishnavalli, A. Jahir Hussain, R. Pongiappan, R. Hemalatha and K. Arul.
