Hyderabad: A girl student was given a showcause notice for entering a boys hostel in University of Hyderabad. Over 10 other students were also issued notices by the university administration on Saturday for questioning the warden and security officials and raising slogans against alleged moral policing when they conducted a surprise check on Men's Hostel - J on Friday.
Mr Kuldeep Singh, a student who was served a showcause notice, said, “It says that we were misbehaving and assaulted the warden. No one raised a finger. We just asked them what was wrong if a girl student who was part of the student community entered a hostel. They kept saying that it is against the hostel handbook.”
