BENGALURU: A 31-year-old man died after he accidentally fell from the third floor of an under-construction building at Nagashettihalli in Sanjaynagar police limits in the early hours of Monday.

The deceased, Raju, who hailed from Bagepalle in Kolar district, was working with a flower decorator, who runs a shop in Yeshwanthapur.

Raju’s friend works as a security guard at the under construction building in Nagashettihalli. On Sunday night, Raju called his friend and said he was coming over to meet him. Raju, the security guard and 4-5 friends were sleeping on the third floor of the building. Around 1.30 am, Raju reportedly woke up to attend nature’s call and as it was dark he accidentally fell from the third floor, the police said.

“There was no parapet wall and Raju might have fallen as he could not see it. The friends who heard a loud thud immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead. It is not known whether he was drunk at the time of the incident,” the police said. An unnatural death case has been registered at the Sanjaynagar police station.
