Chandrababu Naidu didn't do any public good, says Jagan Mohan Reddy
AP government has become a byword for corruption: YSRC chief.
ANANTAPUR: Leader of the Opposition and YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy opined that the people should be empowered to penalise the politicians and parties that go back on their poll promises to the people. Referring to failure of Nara Chandrababu Naidu-led Telugu Desam government, Mr Reddy alleged the Chief Minister has not delivered any public good for the people of the state during the last four years of his rule.
Addressing at a public meeting in Peddavaduguru in Tadipathri constituency in the district on Tuesday, on Day 27 of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy stressed the need to reject N. Chandrababu Naidu for duping people of all sections. Mr Reddy started his yatra from Gooty towards Chinnavadugur through Aluvapalli cross, Peddavadugu in Tadipathri.
The leader of Opposition said that Chandrababu Naidu himself was calling his party to prepare for the general polls and people should get ready to teach him lesson for cheating the state. “Naidu's rule has become a byword for corruption and misinformation. No one is happy in the state after Chandrababu Naidu took over as the Chief Minister,” he observed and added that the Janma Bhoomi committees have turned out to be village-level mafias and are looting villages.
A group of victims and YSRC supporters from Appecherla village in Peddavadugur mandal met the leader and briefed him about their worries.
Meanwhile, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had a cup of tea and a bun at Gooty. As the padayatra reached the outskirts of Gooty town, a party supporter who was running Golden Tea cafe offered tea and bun to Mr Reddy, who accepted the snack and enquired about the supporter's well-being. Earlier, the YSRC chief interacted with the onion and groundnut farmers at Gooty.
