Hyderabad: 4 entertainment -zones seized for not paying rent

Hyderabad: The HMDA on Wednesday sealed four commercial establishments in entertainment zones alongside Hussainsagar for evading Rs 1.22 crore in rent.
According to HMDA officer on special duty B. Harinatha Reddy, Down Town, maintained by Sunkara Construction at NTR Garden, was sealed for not paying Rs 26,75,133 rent from February 2017.
Also at NTR Garden, HMDA sealed the children’s play inflatables maintained by Andhra Infrastructure and Industries Pvt Limited which owed a rent of Rs 42,57,499 for four months.
For having Rs 39,99,848 in dues, the HMDA seized go-karting at Necklace Road maintained by Funfirst Concepts and Leisure.
The HMDA sealed the sports arena at Sanjeevaiah Park, maintained by Jalavihar Entertainment Pvt Ltd, for not clearing dues worth Rs 12,65,568 from October last year.
Mr Harinatha Reddy said the HMDA had issued notices to 10 more establishments and would seal those that do not clear the dues in the stipulated time.
He said the HMDA would serve notices to all commercial establishments who have their dues pending.
