HYDERABAD: A total of 20 colleges have been given a showcause notice for holding classes during the summer holidays. The Telangana Board of Intermediate of Education had announced holidays for Intermediate colleges from March 29 to May 31. It had also warned college managements against holding classes during the break.

Recently, the TSBIE directed authorities to carry out raids across Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad and Medchal districts and during these checks, teams found at least 20 colleges conducting classes during the holidays. Among these 20 institutes are Sri Chaitanya College, Narayana college, Gayatri, Nano, Sri Sanjeevani, Abbas, and Lepakshi College. The TSBIE has issued them showcause notices.
