Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Friday urged the state government to rescind its order to debar a Class 10 student for five years, for his alleged role in the SSC Hindi question paper leak.

Addressing media persons in Karimnagar, Sanjay said the student was not at fault for the circulation of the paper. “The boy has said he did nothing wrong and that he had nothing to with the leak. The real question is, when the picture of the question paper was being taken from a window in the classroom where the boy was writing his exam, what were the invigilators doing? What were the police on duty at the centre doing,” Sanjay asked.

The student and his mother had told the media in Kamalapur on Thursday that he was threatened by someone who clambered to the window from a tree next to it and demanded that he show the paper. He threatened the student with dire consequences if he did not do so.
