Fire breaks out at Darulshifa in Hyderabad
To douse the fire, a fire engine rushed to the spot but fire officials found it difficult to douse the fire due to the poor condition of the building.
Hyderabad: A fire broke out at the Quli Quatb Shai urban development authority in Darulshifa on Monday.
According to the officials, the fire, which broke out at around 4 pm on Monday, started at the record room that is on the first floor of the GHMC-owned building
To douse the fire, a fire engine rushed to the spot but fire officials found it difficult to douse the fire due to the poor condition of the building.
Mogulpura fire station’s Sadiq Ali said, “The fire broke out on the first floor of the old building. During the rescue operation, the roof also collapsed making it difficult to douse the fire. After nearly four hours, the fire was contained.”
Meanwhile, another fire broke out in a paper godown at Bowenpally. The Secunderabad fire personnel doused the fire with no casualties. The property lost, however, is estimated to be around five lakhs.
