Hyderabad: A 13-year-old girl was reported missing from her school in Alwal. The teenager was identified as Sangeetha, a Class VIII student and resident of Bhudevi Nagar in Alwal. According to the police, the girl is said to have gone to Bangalore with a friend after changing into regular clothes inside the school itself.

“Sangeetha, a student of St. Xavier’s School in Venkatapuram, left home for school on Tuesday morning, but did not return home. Her parents searched for her and asked around, but in vain. They finally approached the police on Wednesday,” said Alwal police inspector, V. Srikanth Goud, following which, the police booked a case and started examining surveillance camera footage to track her whereabouts.

CCTV footage showed the girl stepping out of school alone.

“We have circulated her photos on social media and also tipped off the Bangalore police, basing on information received that she might have gone there with a friend after school hours, which makes this a planned trip,” added another police personnel.
