Hard work helps Karur disabled boy clear NEET

He studied up to 10th standard at Karur and finished his Plus-2 at a private school at Namakkal in which he scored 476 marks.

KARUR: Karvannan Prabhu of Karur who secured state first, has scored fifth position in the Neet examination under the differently-abled category. The student's parents Kannan and his wife Ms Kousalya, are both doctors, running a hospital at Karur. The student is 50 per cent disabled with both his legs affected.

He studied up to 10th standard at Karur and finished his Plus-2 at a private school at Namakkal in which he scored 476 marks.

Karvannan scored 572 marks out of 720 in the Neet examination. He told newsmen that he is willing to provide medical service to the people in future, adding, hard work had helped him in clearing Neet without attending any special coaching classes.

His elder sister, Kapila, is doing her 4th-year MBBS at Madras Medical College, Chennai.
