Five black bucks dead in dog attack in Anantapur
At least five black bucks were found dead under suspicious circumstances after they were attacked by dogs.
ANANTAPUR: At least five black bucks were found dead under suspicious circumstances after they were attacked by dogs near Komatireddypalli fields in Putlur mandal in the district on Thursday. The deats occurred in fields close to the solar power plant in the village. Three of them were old and two were around 5 months old.
Anantapur DFO K. Chandrasekhar said that the black bucks were attacked by dogs in the forest area of Komatireddy Palli. They ran into the sweet orange garden. The animals fell down in orchards at three different locations. After receiving information, forest teams along with veterinary doctors rushed to the spot and tried to revive the black bucks that had suffered serious injuries as a result of the attack by the dogs.
“All the five died due to the injuries from the attack by the dogs,” the DFO told DC. The forest official added that the deceased black bucks were buried in the forest area after post-mortem. “We registered a case and are investigating in all angles", the official said. He made it clear that the black bucks had not entered the solar plant premises.
