Salem: In a heart rending tragedy, a farmer and his three family members committed suicide on Sunday by consuming poison after his elder daughter married her lover on eloping with him in Salem district. 

Police said, A. Rajendran, 46, his wife Rani, 40, their daughter Athy, 18 and son Naveen Kumar, 16, were found dead by their neighbours at their residence near Ethapur.
