RSS man held in CPM worker murder case

Kozhikode: Police arrested two including an RSS worker in connection with the murder of Abubacker Siddique, 21, a CPM worker of Sonkal, near Uppala Sunday midnight.
They are Aswith belonging to the same place and his friend Karthik. Cops said the reason for the killing was a conflict over the sale of liquor in the areas.
They gathered evidence from the spot along with the accused on Monday including the knife he accused to kill Mr Siddique.
A four-member gang came on two bikes attacked the Fiidhaus Nagar DYFI branch committee.
Though the locals rushed him to a super speciality hospital in Mangalore, the attempt proved futile.

A police team headed by district superintendent of police A. Sreenivas and DySP M.V. Sukumaran are interrogating Aswith for a lead to the other two members of the gang.
Meanwhile, CPM leader P. Karunakaran MP alleged that the murder exposes the BJP-mafia nexus.
CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan alleged that the RSS-BJP goons are trying to provoke CPM by unleashing attacks on its workers
However, BJP leadership dismissed the allegations as baseless. BJP state president P.S. Sreedharan Pillai said that the murder had no political link "CPM is trying to make political gains in the post-murder scenario," he said.
