Special teams to monitor Spandana
A senior official said that there are few cases where the applicant has asked about one thing and the response was completely irrelevant.
VISAKHAPATNAM: A State Government team has been continuously watching and randomly checking the closed grievances to ensure effective redressal for applicants. The teams have identified that some of the officials have been blindly closing the grievances, by giving irrelevant answers. It has been learnt that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has alerted the district collectors concerned, during recent video conferences, regarding the same.
Though the Telugu Desam Government had taken up a Grievance Day, during their tenure, the YSRC Government wants to ensure quality redressal within the specified time. Also, the CM is very keen about the programme. It has been given utmost importance than any other programme that is being implemented by the government. So, the teams have been verifying the mistakes by looking into minute-levels.
A senior official said that there are few cases where the applicant has asked about one thing and the response was completely irrelevant. He said: “One application was received in Spandana asking to issue a Ration card. But the reply is regarding pension. The CM has read out the mistakes during the video conference.”
