Puducherry: Protesters continued to take to streets to organise rallies condemning the Central and state governments over the Neet issue.
About 30 volunteers of the Poraligal Iyyakkam, a pro-Tamil organisation, were arrested on Wednesday when they attempted to burn the effigies of political leaders including PM Narendra Modi.
The protesters made an effigy with five heads that of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amith Shah, Union ministers Nirmala Sitaraman, Pon Radhakrishnan and H. Raja and took it like a funeral procession from the Rajiv Gandhi square.
