Kondru Murali Mohan joins TD
He had planned to join the TD on August 31 but postponed it after the death of actor and former MP Nandamuri Harikrishna in a road accident.
Vijayawada: Former minister and Congress senior leader Kondru Murali Mohan joined the Telugu Desam on Thursday. Mr Murali meet with supporters before deciding to switch parties.
He had planned to join the TD on August 31 but postponed it after the death of actor and former MP Nandamuri Harikrishna in a road accident. Earlier, Mr Kondru Murali met TD president and AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu several times to secure his entry into the TD.
Mr Kondru Murali along with his supporters joined the TD in Mr Naidu’s presence on Thursday evening at Amaravati.
Mr Kondru Murali said the division of united AP had worsened the condition of the state and the Congress was responsible for the plight of the people. He said he had remai-ned in the Congress for four years but the people were still distrustful of it.
He said he was attracted towards the Telugu Desam because the state government was working for the development of the state despite a deficit budget and was implementing welfare schemes.
Welcoming Mr Kondru Murali, Mr Naidu asked him to work to strengthen the party and render services to the public.
