Nellore rural MLA complains over removing 80,000 voters
The MLA complained that about 80 thousand voters were removed from the list in the Rural constituency with the pressure of ruling party.
Tirupati: Nellore Rural MLA Mr Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy has approached AP’s Chief Electoral Officer Mr R.P. Sisodia in Hyderabad on Thursday.
The MLA complained that about 80 thousand voters were removed from the list in the Rural constituency with the pressure of ruling party.
Speaking to media persons, Mr Kotamreddy said, “Earlier the officials has removed about one lakh votes and again reentered them with our pressure. We met district collector and revenue officials in this regard, but there was no response. The issue has come to me during ‘Mana MLA mana Intiki program’. This is shame that these many votes were removed.”
He added, “Many of the people are having Aadhar cards, current bills and even voter cards too. But, their names were not mentioned in the voter list. This is all done with the pressure of the ruling party leaders. I had met the Chief Electoral Officer, if there is no response here, then I will drag the Concern district officers to high court and will fight for the right of people.”
