KTR urges youth to beat grand alliance
Telangana's self respect and pride would be kept at the feet of the rulers of Delhi and Andhra, he said.
Hyderabad: Caretaker minister K.T. Rama Rao said on Saturday that if the grand alliance comes to power in Telangana, there would be a new Chief Minister for the state every three months.
Addressing the party’s youth wing, TRS leaders and activists, Mr Rama Rao urged the people of Telangana not to lose the opportunity of hitting four birds (Congress, TD, TJS and CPI) with one stone (vote) in the upcoming Assembly elections.
“If the grand alliance of the Congress, TD, TJS and CPI comes to power, everyone will vie for the CM’s post. There will be a new CM every three months. Delhi and Andhra rulers will decide who Telangana’s CM would be. Telangana’s self respect and pride would be kept at the feet of the rulers of Delhi and Andhra,” he said.
He urged the people to decide whether they wanted Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who was the symbol and face of Telangana’s self respect and pride, to continue as CM or whether they wanted a CM who would function at the mercy of Delhi and Andhra rulers and take orders from them to run the government in Telangana.
“The very purpose for which Telangana was achieved will be defeated if the grand alliance comes to power. TD chief and AP CM N. Chandrababu Naidu, who is anti-Telangana to the core, will dictate terms for the Telangana government. We have fought for 14 years to free Telangana from the clutches of Andhra and Delhi rulers. What is the use of this struggle if they are allowed to rule Telangana again?” KT Rama Rao asked.
He urged people, especially the youth, who were in the forefront of the Telangana statehood agitation, to be cautious against the conspiracy hatched by Delhi and Andhra politicians against Telangana in the name of the Grand Alliance.
KT Rama Rao questioned TJAC Chairman Prof Kodandaram and asked him to explain how he could align with anti-Telangana forces for the sake of contesting a mere 2-3 Assembly seats.
