Hyderabad: Woman techie jumps from Metro station

The locals noticed this and alerted the security staff and then Chaitanyapuri police.

Hyderabad: Upset with her family disputes, a 25-year-old woman software engineer from the city attempted suicide by jumping from the Victoria Memorial Metro Rail station in Chaitanyapuri on Tuesday. The woman received multiple injuries and is admitted to a private hospital.

The woman identified as Swapna (25), is a resident of NTR Nagar in Dilsukhnagar under LB Nagar police station limits. She was married to Raghavendra, a techie and the couple is blessed with a two-year-old son. Her parents and in-laws, all live inDilsukhnagar area.

At about 11.30 pm, Swapna went to the Victoria Memorial Metro Rail station. She climbed the stairs of ‘Arm C’ section to enter the concourse level and jumped on to the ground. 

The locals noticed this and alerted the security staff and then Chaitanyapuri police.

She was rushed to Sri Omni Hospital in an ambulance and was later shifted to Osmania General Hospital for treatment. Her health condition is stated to be out of danger.
