Palakurthy developed into spiritual, tourism hub: Errabelli
Warangal: Panchayat raj minister and BRS candidate Errabelli Dayakar Rao filed his first set of nomination papers at the tahsildar’s office in the Palakurthy Assembly segment of Jangaon district on Monday.
Speaking to the media, he said that the Palakurthy segment, which was neglected by previous governments, had been developed by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and transformed into a model constituency in the state.
Apart from a 50-bed hospital, the maximum number of double-bedroom houses, Bommera and Valmidi temples have been renovated in the constituency, transformed into a spiritual and tourism hub.
“In a few villages where there was no availability of government land for the construction of double-bedroom houses, I paid out of my pocket to purchase the land for the same,” he said.
Refuting the allegations by Congress leaders that he was indulged in the encroachment of lakes belonging to the Mudiraj community, the minister said it was the BRS government which augmented the economic growth of the community by distributing the fish seed and allotment of tanks and lakes.
He appealed to the people not to fall prey to the false promises of the opposition leaders.
Before filing his nomination, Dayakar Rao, along with his wife Usha, offered prayers at several temples across the district.
