Hyderabad: The Centre has granted relief from the cash crunch to both the Telugu states by doubling their share in tax devolutions for December. The Centre sanctioned Rs 1,850 crore to Telangana state against norm of Rs 950 crore. AP got Rs 3,218 crore against the normal Rs 1,760 crore. While TS got the full amount, for AP the Centre released Rs 992 crore after deducting loan repayments.
In November, however, the Centre had released Rs 600 crore to TS and Rs 970 crore to AP as its tax revenue the first quarter had come down. There was some worry over the funds for December, but this has now eased.
