Hyderabad: 14 students robbed of smart phones
Cellphones were kept in the storage compartment of a two-wheeler.
Hyderabad: Smart phones of 14 engineering students of St. Peter’s College were stolen from Malla Reddy College campus, where they went to write their exam. The phones were kept in the storage compartment of a two-wheeler, from where someone stole it during the examination hours. The students were from St. Peter’s Engineering College in Kompally who came to Malla Reddy College of Engineering, their exam center on Tuesday.
“As there was no place provided by the college management to the students to keep their belongings, 14 of them collected the devices and kept it in the bag of one Sai, who then kept it in the storage compartment of his two-wheeler and locked it before going for exam,” said police officials of Pet Basheerabad.
However, when they came out after the exam, they noticed the latch broken and the bag missing.
A case was booked under relevant Sections of IPC and an investigation was started.
