Vijayawada: Fourteen-year-old Emmadisetty Kowshik, a student of Class 9, has taken up micro-carving of the National Anthem on tur dal in order to make a world record. Kowshik carved out letters from tur dal and stuck them on a canvas here on Wednesday at his residence at Machavaram.
He took up the world record challenge after being told by Miracle World Record jury member Pamarty Shiva. Kowshik sought 20 hours to complete his feat to engrave 288 letters out of tur dal. He started his feat at 10.20 am and completed at 8.20 pm. He completed his target in just 10 hours and was appreciated by all the locals.
His parents E. Srinivas Rao and Komala Devi encouraged him throughout the feat. “We felt happy with our son’s feat. We expected that he will complete his target in 20 hours but he achieved in 10 hours,” said Mr Rao. “At the beginning I felt nervous,” said Koushik.
