Some advocates raised slogans against the TRS and Gangula Kamalakar.
Karimnagar: TRS candidate Gangula Kamalakar, contesting from Karimnagar, allegedly campaigned on the premises of the District Court and appealed to advocates to vote for him on Thursday.
A group of advocates led by Budida Mallesh, secretary of Karimnagar Bar Association, raised objection to Gangula Kamalakar campaigning on the premises of the court, violating the election code.
Budida Mallesh said that the official election campaigning time was over by Wednesday evening itself and contesting candidates were not supposed to campaign afterwards.
Some advocates raised slogans against the TRS and Gangula Kamalakar. Karimnagar mayor Ravinder Singh accompanied Gangula Kamalakar, during his visit to the court.
Budida Mallesh lodged a written complaint with Two Town police against Gangula Kamalakar and sought action against him for violating the election code and manhandling him for questioning the campaigning done on the premises of the court.
The leaders of the Bar Association claimed that they also lodged a complaint with the Returning Officer. Mallesh appealed to the police to conduct an inquiry.
