Hyderabad: in view of the increasing Omicron cases, the South Central Railway conducted a sanitisation drive at Kacheguda railway station on Saturday.
Following instructions from the Centre, the officers had the trains, booking counters, main entrance and other places used by the passengers sanitised.
The station is being sanitised at least twice a day. Apart from this, Platform No. 1 is sanitised during the peak hours between 4 pm and 9 pm, SCR said.
“We have been directed to sanitise all areas, particularly the seats, door handles, bath rooms, switches, seats, escalators and toilets. We will be continuing the sanitisation drive until further orders,” said SCR’s chief health inspector
