Auto damaged as lorry falls on it in Vadakara

According to police, a torus lorry hit the lorry on the back side which trigged the lorry to fall on the auto.

KOZHIKODE: On the second consecutive day, a lorry has triggered an accident in Vadakara on Thursday. A red laterite stone-laden lorry fell on an auto rickshaw near Alukkas Jewellery in Vadakara in the wee hours of Thursday. The injured auto driver Sasi of Vadakara and the lorry driver have been hospitalised. The auto rickshaw has been completely damaged in the mishap.

According to police, a torus lorry hit the lorry on the back side which trigged the lorry to fall on the auto. The torus lorry also has been damaged. It stopped after hitting the wall of a nearby marble shop. On Wednesday, another lorry lost control and rammed a roadside house, claiming the life of the lorry driver, Kannur, Iritty, native Vinodan (37) on the spot.
