Ballari: Disgruntled Congress MLAs Mr Umesh Jadhav, Mr Mahesh Kumtalli,Mr Ramesh Jarkiholi and Mr B Nagendra, who are reportedly in touch with the BJP, are learnt to be contemplating  taking an 'extreme political decision'- submitting their resignations to Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar soon after the ongoing Budget session.

The four disgruntled legislators remained absent for the second day of the session on Thursday and were incommunicado.

Sources close to Ballari (ST) Congress MLA Mr B Nagendra claimed that Mr Nagendra is in no mood to compromise with the state Congress leadership and is considering submitting his resignation to the Speaker soon after the Budget session, since this decision was taken by all four legislators unitedly.

Absconding Congress MLA from Kampli Mr J.N. Ganesh whom the police are on the looking for after he allegedly assaulted a fellow lawmaker Anand Singh during a brawl at a resort recently, too is reportedly in touch with the four disgruntled Congress legislators and is expected to follow them.

“Despite the resignation of four-five Congress legislators, the coalition government may survive in the number game, but it will definitely be a big morale boost for the BJP ahead or the upcoming Lok Sabha elections,” said a source close to Mr Nagendra.
