CMDA, TANGEDCO get new heads

Promptly after the conclusion of 3-day conference, the TN government reorganized its bureaucracy by transferring some top IAS officers.

According to a government notification, chief electoral officer Rajesh Lakhoni has been transferred and posted as member-secretary of Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA).

Chennai: Promptly after the conclusion of 3-day conference, the Tamil Nadu government reorganized its bureaucracy by transferring some top IAS officers.

The government, on Wednesday, issued orders transferring as many as 19 IAS officers.

 According to a government notification, chief electoral officer Rajesh Lakhoni has been transferred and posted as member-secretary of Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA). Vijayaraj Kumar, who held the post of member-secretary of CMDA, has been transferred as secretary of the department of welfare of differently-abled persons.

Vikram Kapur has been appointed as managing director of Tangedco with the full additional charge of principal secretary, energy department. Former Tangedco managing director Sai Kumar has been transferred as secretary-1 to Chief Minister.

 According to the order, B. Chandramohan will function as secretary to the department of information technology and K. Nanthakumar would function as chairman of teachers' recruitment board (TRB), which has been facing charges of irregularities in recruitment processes.

The government also transferred T.V. Somanathan as commissioner of commercial taxes. Director of geology and mining K. Vivekanandan will hold full additional charge of commissioner of technical education.
