FIR against Laxmi Hebbalkar for distributing money in Gundlupet constituency

Mysuru: The law finally caught up with Congress women’s wing president Laxmi Hebbalkar  with the Election Commission filing an FIR against her based on a complaint by  BJP worker Abhishek.

BJP leaders had on Thursday  released  video footage allegedly showing Ms Hebbalkar distributing money in a house in Annooru Keri in Gundlupet constituency.  Meanwhile, BJP workers caught two Congress workers with Rs 24 lakh in cash and handed them over to election officials on Friday. The officials are North West KSRTC director, Manoj Kumar M. Karjari who was found carrying Rs 20 lakh near Gateway Hotel in Gundlupet town. He has been arrested by the police. Ballari-based Pampapathi was caught with Rs 4 lakh in cash in Kelasuru village in Gundlupet.  Election observers have seized Rs 4.55 lakh in three different cases in Nanjangud.
