Hyderabad: Eateries fined post raids
A fine of Rs 15,000 was also slapped on the management.
Hyderabad: GHMC officials raided hotels and imposed heavy fines for lack of hygiene and for using unstamped goat meat. A veterinary team visited the Bawarchi Hotel at Chintal Kunta checkpost in LB Nagar circle and found the kitchen and store unhygienic. A fine of Rs 15,000 was also slapped on the management.
Secondly, a penalty of Rs 50,000, the highest so far, was imposed on Hotel Green Bawarchi, Aramghar, for using unstamped meat. The Times City Restaurant at Ferozguda was fined Rs 15,000 for procuring unstamped meat and preparing food unscientifically.
The Anandvihar Hotel at ECIL, Bhadri Restaurant at Saket and Srilaxmi restaurant at ECIL were fined Rs 3,000 for procuring unstamped meat. Earlier before the raids were initiated, the GHMC appealed to all hoteliers and restaurants to maintain hygiene and to use only stamped goat meat.
