TTD to prepare video on services
Temple trust plans to display user info in public domain.
Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), which manages the world richest temple of Lord Venkateswara, is contemplating preparing a video document on the services at the Annadanam complex, Kalyanakatta and Vaikuntam queue complexes in order to provide better information to devotees.
TTD Tirumala incharge joint executive officer B. Lakshmi Kantham, who inspected VQC 2, Srivari temple, CRO and Kalyanakatta main on Sunday in the hill town, directed the heads of departments to prepare a video document about the serving process at the Anna Prasadam complex which is done without wasting any food by the staff and volunteers while serving the devotees, the activity of tonsuring in Kalyanakatta and the system to be followed by pilgrims while releasing compartments.
This video will be continuously displayed in the respective areas for better information of the pilgrims, he said while addressing mediapersons later.
The JEO, who observed how the allotment process of rooms is done and checked the movement of lines at Vendi Vakili and Bangaru Vakili, said he had instructed officials concerned to include the information regarding local temples on display boards for the knowledge of the pilgrims waiting in the compartments about sub temples.
The JEO added that the festivals and important religious events like Ugadi and Srirama Navami, etc are being telecast on the SVBC channel to provide better information for the devotees. The importance of fairs and festivals organised by TTD will be placed in the devasthanam’s website for the sake of its 35 lakh registered subscribers across the globe, the officers said.
