Hyderabad: Occupancy certificate via DPMS

The civic body had introduced DPMS on June 2, 2016 for availing building permissions, as part of its initiatives towards doing business.

Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will allow people to obtain Occupancy Certificates through the Development Permission Management System (DPMS). The civic body had introduced DPMS on June 2, 2016 for availing building permissions, as part of its initiatives towards ease of doing business.

GHMC commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy said that the system was initially introduced for building permissions of residential application and was later extended to commercial and multi-storied buildings from February 27, 2017.

“In the fiscal 2016-17, we issued 8,074 approvals of which 6,158 were given under DPMS. Following the good results, we shall introduce the same system in obtaining Occupancy Certificate. This will ensure 100 per cent online facilities of building plan approval system,” he said.
