CISCE declares ICSE results, Hyderabad students perform well

South India had a pass percentage of 99.73%, ranks second behind West.

Hyderabad: City students fared well with 98 and 97 per cents in their results, which were released by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations in the XII and X standards on Tuesday.

A student of Marredpally, Ms Vidhi Shah from Gitanjali Devshala, secured 98 per cent in her ICSE exams. Vidhi was on cloud nine and said that she is very happy and excited to secure the top per cent.

Speaking to this newspaper, she said that continuous preparation in a strategic way from day one has helped achieving this score.

“... always used to write down in my preparation, because I believe writing always helps in memorising information for long.”

Udbhav Saxena, another city resident, from Hyderabad Public School, who secured 97.83 per cent said that he would like to go abroad for highers studies and he is also preparing for JEE Advanced. When asked what was his secret of success, he said that “Sleeping for 8 to 9 hours minimum and prepare well rest of the time”, he said.

The CISCE released the results for Class 10 (ICSE) and Class 12 (ISC) board examinations held in February and March this year. The council has released the results on the official website, cisce.org. The exams ICSE exam was held from February 22 to March 25 this year.

Around 98.54 per cent students cleared the examination this year. Southern region stood second with 99.73 percent after 99.76 by western region.
