Last week, Qatar welcomed the Saudi decision to open the frontier and provide flights for Qatari pilgrims.

Hyderabad: Following a ban imposed by four Gulf Countries, the Qatar Airways is making alternative arrangements for its passengers.

A source from the airways in Mumbai said that there was no impact on the flights from Hyderabad to Doha in connection with the ongoing issues.

“The four Gulf Countries restricted us from utilising their airspaces. We are, therefore,  utilising the airspace of Pakistan and Iran to reach Doha on par with the other flight operators from India to Doha,” the source said.

The Qatar Airways’ official website said that it was also operating flights between Doha and the four Gulf countries which imposed the ban. “We are serving with connecting flights from Kuwait. Similarly, we are operating international flights from India to  European countries and America in the same way. The flights from India reach Doha through the airspace of Pakistan and Iran followed by connecting flights from Doha to European countries and America,” it said.

Another source from Qatar Airways’ Hyderabad office said that the Airways had been communicating time-to-time its passengers. “We are uploading updates in our website and releasing fresh bulletins,” the source explained.
