Telangana: DK Aruna's husband in car crash, safe
Police said that the impact of the accident was so severe that the front door of the vehicle came off.
Hyderabad: D.K. Bharatasimha Reddy, husband of former minister and Gadwal MLA D.K. Aruna, had a close shave when his four-wheeler rammed into another car near Yeligendla of Marikal mandal in Mahbubnagar district on Wednesday.
The impact activated the airbags of the car, saving Mr Reddy’s life. Police said that he sustained injury on his hands while five other people also sustained injuries.
Police said that the impact of the accident was so severe that the front door of the vehicle came off.
Mr Reddy, who was sitting in front seat, fell unconscious after the accident. “Initially he was shifted to SVM hospital, where doctors stated that he did not suffer any major injuries. He was later shifted to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad,” said a police official from Mahbubnagar.
According to police Reddy was going to Raichur from Hyderabad. “When the car reached Yeligendla, a car from the opposite direction rammed into the vehicle. The car Mr Reddy was travelling in went off the road due to force and the front door detached. When locals started rescue operation, Reddy had already fainted,” said an official from Mahbubnagar police.
