Telangana: Officials told to expedite Nabard works

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary S.P. Singh on Wednesday asked officials to expedite projects being taken up with the financial assistance of Nabard.

He instructed officials to submit project completion reports to Nabard at the earliest and claim funds.

The CS took part in a high-powered committee meeting of Nabard held in the Secretariat.

Mr Singh directed heads of departments concerned to submit project completion reports through the finance department to Nabard between June 16 and 23. The Nabard has sanctioned 4,609 projects worth '4,641 crore to TS so far. Of this, the state government could spend '2,607 crore.

Mr Singh asked officials to submit project completion reports being taken up under Nabard’s Rural Infrastructure Development Fund by June 20.

The CS instructed officials to review progress of the works pertaining to field veterinary institutions of the animal husbandry department, compound walls and toilets in junior colleges, polytechnic college buildings, primary health centres, anganwadi centres, bridges, check-dams, roads, lift irrigation schemes, additional classrooms in ashram schools and residential schools.
